On those nights
When the sunset is such a bright color
You think it might be alight
Do you ever wonder
Does the sky feel too?

Are those crimsons and magentas
And deep pinks and blues
Just echoes of the feelings
Felt by me and you?

Does the sky weep during meteor showers,
On cloudy nights, is it shy?
Does a pink sunset reflect feelings of enamorment
To the moon, from the sky?
Do you ever wonder
Does the sky feel too?

Is it mad at the world,
When it is ripe cherry red?
If it is tired when it is gray,
Does it want to crawl into its bed?
Does lavender mean it is bashful,
Does violet mean it is proud?
Does orange mean it is grumpy,
Woken up early by the birds being too loud?

On those nights,
When the sunset is filled with
Deep vivid reds and purples and blues
Do you ever wonder,
Does the sky feel too?
