Have you been wondering how to wear a necklace? Learn how in just three simple steps!

Step One: Choosing Your Necklace
          The choice should be arbitrary
It’s a necklace that you have lying around
It should sit at just the right height
And the chain should clasp in whatever way is easiest for your fingers to understand

Step Two: Wearing Your Necklace
          This is the easiest step
          Never take your necklace off
Not while you swim, and not while you shower
Not while you sleep, and not while you exercise
It should stay on while you breathe, while you think, while you live
Don’t take it off when you dress up, or when you get naked
You should always be able to feel it, just below your head, just above your heart

Step Three: Absorbing Your Necklace
Think of it as a part of yourself, a staple to your look, to your identity
You would be lost without it, heartbroken
The idea of losing it should bring you to tears
Buy all of your jewelry to match your necklace
Grow attached to those too, if you want
Learn that a necklace can wear a person as much as a person can wear a necklace
Reach up and touch the charm
          Hold it between your fingers
Push the chain beneath your skin
It is as much you as you are it

Congratulations! You have successfully worn a necklace. Instructions on jackets soon to follow.
