First Period — History
I sit down at my desk and see a note inside. It’s from Mimi. We have this habit of sending notes to each other on sticky notes. I take it out of the desk and read it.
I have the funniest story for you! So, Mr. Juniper wanted us to stop playing video games, right? So he blocked almost everything. I mean, EVERYTHING. The only things we could go on were Google Classroom and Google Docs. I’M NOT JOKING. I couldn’t even go on Google. GOOGLE. Then, the whole class erupted into yelling. Even me! I mean, how are we supposed to do school work without being able to type anything in the browser? What is he going to do, give us bad grades because we can’t do anything? I hope by the time you’re reading this, he fixed this. Is the whole point of GoGuardian supposed to be disabling all fun?
I almost laugh out loud. But then I remember I’m in class and that would be weird, so I just put the sticky note back. I’ll write back later.
Second Period — English
Mr. Juniper still hasn’t removed the web blocker. Class is now even more boring. And since this class is a double period, I can’t expect another note. Right? Then, I notice a different sticky note, and, thinking it’s from Mimi and I just missed it, I read it.
This period is SO boring! None of my friends are in this period, or in any of my other classes. I don’t even know if we are friends anymore. They never talk to me, and when they do, it’s like I’m not there. Later, Terra.
Terra is the most popular girl in school. Everyone has noticed that she doesn’t hang out with her friends anymore, but no one knows why. Well, now I know. I had a feeling they wouldn’t be real friends when she left me for them. I write back.
Hi Terra! I’ve noticed that you drifted apart from your friends, but don't worry! I’m sure you can make new ones! — Stardust.
Stardust isn’t my real name. It’s Scarlet. But I can’t let her know who I am. She’s just going to think I’m leeching off of her popularity or something. The bell finally rings and now it’s passing period. And I see her. Terra is just walking through the hallway and everyone makes way for her, until she’s in my face.
“Um, excuse me? I’m trying to not be late!”
Two days back from her suspension and she hasn’t changed at all. I just walk past her. I miss the days when we were friends.
Third Period — Advisory
I see a paper note folded up on my desk. I hope it isn’t from the teacher. I open it up. It isn’t. It’s from one of Terra’s friends.
Oh my lord, like, why is Terra still even popular? Maybe we should remind everyone that SHE is the one who got the school dance canceled? I mean, we did set her up, and we did lie about it, but she’s such a loser, so she deserves it. Write back when you see this! P.S. I saw the weird space loser writing notes to her friend and I think it’s a cute idea!
This is proof that Terra didn’t have to be suspended. “Ms. Sakura! I have something I want you to see.”
She comes over to me. “What is it?” I show her the note. “This is something serious. I will show it to the principal.”
I let her have the note and write another message on a sticky note.
To Terra,
You were framed and Ms. Sakura has the proof. Tell your “friends” they are doing this note thing wrong. — Stardust
I put it under the desk. I hope I’m not roped into this. I don't need that sort of drama. I read my book until the bell rings.
